Advice On How To Build A Close Relationship With God

By Francis Riggs

Lacking a spiritual connection with the lord is normal. People question what they are taught in the church and lose their faith. This is the common trend right now. People no longer take church as serious as they did sometimes back. They are busier than ever. To get back to how things were, here are tips on how to build a close relationship with God.

The first thing they must do is to make a habit of praying daily. One should pray daily and not be afraid to let God know their sins. Remember He already knows our thoughts, imperfections, and fear. Thus, when we open our minds to Him with repentance, our minds get clear and we get closer than we were before. Pray even you get a small break.

Today everyone is busy. If one is not working, they are attending the family. This alienates one from God. The best way to solve it is to find time for the lord just as we do for the family. To be back to been spiritual and fearful of the lord, we must make a priority to always seclude ourselves and pray.

Reading the bible makes people learn about God. At times is seems boring to read the holy book, but you should have time to read it anyway. Look for way to get started and remain focused such as having a bible-reading plan. If reading the whole book seems as a difficult task, you can break it down into small sections. For example, you can come up with a plan to read one chapter per week. God communicates through the words in the bible. If one reads it every day, they become more spiritual.

Do not be alone; seek the company of other believers. If you are, alone you tend to be negative in all the thoughts that come into the mind. Been with another person encourages one to be positive in every situation.

The church is considered as wholly and the God lives. Going to church rejuvenates the belief one has about the Christian values. In church, you will find the most conducive environment. The fellowships, the meetings the pastor and people you can talk to. Instead of staying at home, visit the church to learn more about the bible and God.

Having faith despite the hard times is necessary. Even after praying and fasting. It may seem as if the lord has forgotten us. Things will go wrong even if we pray, but we should strengthen our faith instead of letting it waver. Our inners thoughts and wishes should remain pure. We should set examples in how we do it and it will encourage others.

To keep the connection strong, one has to be open to both people and God. You can fool the pastors and friends but you cannot fool God. Therefore do not try to be someone else, if you are a sinner just be yourself and seek forgives. The same applies to ones faith.
