A common misconception that many people have is that working out and burning hours at the gym will help them lose all their excess weight. The carbohydrate that is found in food releases simple sugar into the blood stream which increases the glucose in your blood. This is why opting for meals with high glucose content will not help you lose weight because these foods are easy for your body to break down and is more likely to make you hungry often. One can check the glycemic index which is a list of food containing carbohydrate and how these foods can impact the blood sugar.

Some people find it hard to follow the system because they feel it is confusing. But being aware and understanding the importance of such will help one know what food to take and what to avoid in order to lose or maintain weight. Protein packed meals such as chicken or peanut butter takes longer to digest too. This is why its recommended that you also include protein in your diet because it allows for a gradual fluctuation for the glucose in your blood. Such will also make you feel full or longer than usual.

Fat is hard to break down. For this reason, adding oil or healthy fat to your diet is also recommended. One must still be considerate when adding such to his or her diet though because they are still considered unhealthy especially when one consumes too much.
