Happiness - Is That the Gauge for Success?

Are you happy?
Did you know that our bodies have a gauge, a measurement we can use to determine our internal state of mind? It's called the Emotional Guidance System.

Every time you make the effort to sit and connect with your breath, it will give you something more and you will begin to understand its power. Every time you consciously pay attention to your breath, an internal shift happens and you gain clarity on what's going on with the rest of your body.

"You can fool yourself some of the time. You may fool others sometimes. But, you can never fool your body. It is the most sensitive barometer of your inner world."

This is profound because our body is something that most of us have taken for granted. You are a Human Being. Human is the form. Being is the formless. Both are inter-connected.

We shrug off pains in our shoulder because we must get that work done, or we ignore the headache that is creeping up on us because we have to finish those errands.

But, here's the thing. If you remember to stop... and think about it, or more importantly stop... and feel about it, you will be able to identify your very discord. That's your Emotional Guidance System at work. You see, your body is trying to give you clues all the time. "Relax", "Sit down", "Rest", "You need sleep", are all those little nudgings that we seldom pay attention to.

Your emotions are by far the most sophisticated of vibrational interpreters. Try paying attention to the way you feel by observing your emotion instead of giving in to it. Your very own Emotional Guidance System helps you to understand your vibrational set-point. For instance, observe that pain in your shoulders. Give it some attention by just simply sitting there and observing it. You will soon notice in a few minutes that those feelings of unrest will begin to fade.

Your increasing relief will be indicators that you are starting to release those resistant thoughts that keep us prisoners of our own mind. Remember, whatever you resist, persists. Whatever you fight, you strength, and whatever you fear, you draw near. Feelings of anger, tension, frustration, jealousy are all adding to your resistant thoughts.

Here is a very simple way to know if you heeding your Emotional Guidance System: You can actually feel whether you are allowing the connection. The worse you feel, the less you are allowing the connection. Feeling good equals allowing the connection, feeling bad equals not allowing the connection.

By paying attention to the signals of your emotions, you can understand with absolute precision everything you are now living, or have ever lived. By paying attention to the emotional connection of who you really are, you will come to understand not only what is going on in your world, but you will understand every other human being with whom you interact.
